On June 15, we'll be holding our opening ceremony and official preview for FEELS 6 at The Craneway.
At the preview, you'll be able to experience the art exhibition in full, including immersive installations, projection work, and a selection of short films from participating artists, and from the BAMPFA archives.
Artists will also be there to showcase and discuss their work, and guests will be treated to a VIP experience, courtesy of our partners.
We're also honored to host an intimate live performance from the singular, visionary artist Lonnie Holley.
The preview is open to VIP ticket holders, press, and artists only. Capacity is extremely limited.
VIP tickets, which include access to the Opening Ceremony are available here.
For FEELS 6, we'll be working in creative partnership with the Berkeley Art Museum & Pacific Film Archive (BAMPFA). To introduce that partnership, on April 10, we teamed up for FEELS at BAMPFA, a one-night only celebration at the museum, featuring performances, DJ sets, and short film work from FEELS exhibiting artists, and from the PFA archives.
Our celebration at BAMPFA included sets from Toro y Moi, Spellling, and Fela Kutchii, plus short films from Yetunde Olagbaju, Queens D. Light, Sofia Cordova, and Lonnie Holley.
Way Bay is a sweeping exploration of the creative energies that have emerged from the San Francisco Bay Area over the past two centuries. An innovative exhibition of art and film, plus poetry, performance documentation, and archival materials, Way Bay features nearly two hundred works that reveal the depth and diversity of artists’ engagement with the region’s geographic, social, and cultural landscape.
At FEELS @ BAMPFA, we helped curate a selection of excerpts from the archival works featured in Way Bay, with a focus on experimental, psychedelic, and documentary work.
At FEELS in June, BAMPFA will bring those selections to the exhibition space at the Craneway for a set of immersive screening experiences.
